LOT318 Missions Statement:

The LOT318 stands for “Loving Others in Truth” from the verse 1 John 3:18. We exist to

minister to at risk youth and their community by empowering them to see their worth and

purpose in this world. We accomplish this by holding various events and service opportunities,

to open their eyes to the world around us. We challenge them to serve others in the

community and make a difference among their peers. We believe in education, and teaching

them to value themselves and the resources they have available to them. Our goal is to give

them opportunities they may never have had, to become a positive influence and force in our

world, and to love them in truth.

Our Values:

􀀁 Relationships: We believe in building relationships with the members of the

community and living life with them. We exist to serve and love each other in

truth and build a foundation for lifelong friendships.

􀀁 Education: Our goal is to encourage the students to reach and maintain

educational goals. We will give them access to achieving their dreams through

after-school homework help and tutoring programs. Our hope is that they fall in

love with learning and seize the opportunity given to them through education. We

also want to educate / disciple the students in a life that is surrendered to Jesus

Christ.

􀀁 Faith: Jesus Christ is the center and foundation of everything we do. We want to

be the hands and feet of Jesus and bring others to Christ through our actions.

􀀁 Community: We want to be a community of believers and remain in constant

fellowship with one another. We want to bridge the racial/socio-economic gaps

that exist within our hometowns to create peace amongst our neighbors.

End Result:

􀀂 A community of authentic Christ followers – Looking out for each others needs.

􀀂 Students and families with a firm foundation of Jesus Christ.

􀀂 Creating and developing leaders within the community – Multiplication

(community becomes self-sufficient and continues the ministry).

After-school programs: English as a second language

Domestic classes for moms

Professional skill developing for parents

Computer Classes

Free legal counseling

Tutoring / Homework Center

Recreational Center

By-Product:

• A Church plant lead by members of the community – Self sustaining.

• A community developed and transformed with the message of Jesus Christ.

• Communities become self-sufficient so we can move on to another community.

• Tearing down dividing walls between local churches so they can work together

with one common goal.

• Individuals, churches and families volunteering with LOT 318 developing a heart

to serve that will give them a passion to go out and serve the community in which

they live in.
